Join us this year for our 27th Annual Open House at the Red Barn for our Harvest Edition! We are celebrating early this year which means you can start your Christmas shopping and have your favorite images in your home and under your tree just in time for the holidays. We will have a floor FULL of timeless classics and a loft full of deals and sales.
As always, we will have a canned food drive for our local food pantry. By bringing in any non-perishable item you will receive 20% OFF everything in the barn. We will also have complimentary wines and seasonal refreshments all weekend. We hope you come to enjoy this annual tradition and help us celebrate 27 years of Scanlan Photography
A little bit more about the scanlan story
John and Deb Scanlan have a pretty unique story when it comes to photography and that story begins with zero photography classes taken and a lot of research, practice, travelling and creativity. They began in their basement which is how all great startups begin; a garage, a basement or a spare room. Both working separate jobs, they immersed themselves in the world of photography. John immersed himself both inside and outside of his daily job by working for nature photographer Tom Manglesen and doing small art shows on the weekends. Realizing that these art shows spewed out actual profits, John and Deb took a pretty substantial leap of faith and quit both their jobs. Seeing as John has recently been given the recognition as a Master Photographer and their photographs live in thousands of houses across the nation; it can be seen that their leap of faith was a decision that exceeded their wildest dreams.
Every year since their beginning, they have travelled the world with their daughter Haley where their ultimate goal is to have each and every image be a symbol to that location’s peculiar significance and power - whether via its cultural history, its symbolism, or its innate beauty.
In the past few years, the stars aligned and Haley was blessed to find herself able to become ensconced in the business and truly learn from the best. This collaboration was brought about by wanting to add a new perspective to the world as they mix minimalism with grandeur; starkness with color, and of course continue to bring you windows to the incredible world around us. Haley will also be releasing two of her original photographs at their Open House on November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.
